| Known
as the "Samoan Submission Machine",
Samoa Joe made his TNA debut at Slammiversary
in dominating style, defeating "The
Original Playa From The Himalaya"
Sonjay Dutt. Hailing from Los Angeles,
Samoa Joe is a ground-and-pound wrestler
that is a master of several submission
moves. When he's not inside the ring,
the star is often perfecting his pain
game at his dojo. Despite his large
frame, Samoa Joe is extremely quick
and agile - often smashing his opponents
with lightening-fast chops and knees.
Thus far, no opponent has been able
to sustain a successful offensive
attack against the submission machine,
who just keeps coming like a rabid
pitbull. Joe's mean streak took a
new and more violent turn last November
when he attempted to injure The Fallen
Angel and put him out of action, breaking
the unwritten "Code of Respect"
in the X Division. One month later,
AJ Styles became his latest victim,
as the "Samoan Submission Machine"
beat "The Phenomenal One"
at "Turning Point" to finally
capture the X Division Championship.
Despite losing the gold to Senshi
in June 2006 thanks to interference
by Scott Steiner, Joe is still as
unstoppable as ever before. With his
sights set on revenge against Scott
Steiner, is Joe preparing to make
a run at the NWA World Heavyweight
Title?
