Born in England, Norman Smiley began wrestling internationally during the late '80's. In 1997, he would debut for American audiences in the rings of WCW.

His finishing move - the Norman Conquest - provided wins over the likes of Perry Saturn, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Prince Iaukea. However, it was another "move" of sorts which truly captivated the attention of the fans - Norman's mid ring dance known as "The Big Wiggle"

At WCW Mayhem 1999, Norman scored his most significant win to date, over WCW Hardcore Champion - Brian Knobs. He would later defend the title against superstars such as Fit Finlay and Meng.
