| One
of the most dominant forces in TNA
Wrestling, “The Fallen Angel”
Christopher Daniels has been a mainstay
of the organization since its inception
in 2002. A former X Division titleholder
and multi-time NWA World Tag Team
Champion, Daniels is one of the most
decorated athletes today in wrestling.
After challenging for the NWA World
Heavyweight Title in 2002 and 2003,
Daniels formed Triple X with Primetime
Elix Skipper and Low Ki – a
group that would become legendary
in TNA. The trio became multi-time
NWA World Tag Team Champions, fighting
America's Most Wanted in a long and
bloody feud for the gold.
Daniels and Primetime made history
in June 2003 when they fought AMW
for the gold in TNA's first-ever steel
cage match, narrowly losing the ground-breaking
bout. The tag teams would battle once
more inside the cage, this time inside
the Six Sides of Steel at December
2004's “Turning Point”.
Triple X lost the bout, and as part
of the match stipulations were forced
to disband.
After Triple X, The Fallen Angel
refocused his energy on the X Division,
targeting The Phenomenal AJ Styles
and the X Division Championship. Daniels
narrowly lost to Styles in overtime
in the epic Ironman Match at Against
All Odds in February, only to rebound
to win the gold in the Ultimate X
Match Challenge the following month
at Destination X. Daniels has a dominant
reign as X Division Champion, taking
on all comers before losing the gold
to Samoa Joe in 2005.
In recent months, Daniels has put
aside his differences with longtime
nemesis AJ Styles to form a tag team.
The tandem recently captured the NWA
World Tag Team Title, beating America's
Most Wanted at June's “Slammiversary”
Pay-Per-View.
