| Kip
James started out wrestling with his
brother, Bart. They were Texas cowboys,
winning the tag team championships three
different times.
After
Bart got an injury, Kip James went on
to singles competition, he faced his
future partner BG James. He was managed
by the Honky Tonk Man.
He
then teamed up with the BG and formed
a new tag team. He won three tag team
championships with this partner. He
holds the record for the most tag team
championships won by a person.
Kip
James suffered an injury and has been
sidelined for several months. He has
since returned with a whole new attitude.
When the draft of 2002 took place, he
ended up with his tag team partner Chuck.
The two decided to have a commitment
ceremony (a sort of marriage), but it
never went through. The two had won
the Tag Team Championship, but split
up.
One
the most gifted and controversial athletes
in the history of wrestling, Kip James
entered TNA Wrestling in early 2005
and spent the year embroiled in a family
feud with the 3Live Kru.
Thereafter,
Kip James and BG James immediately reunited
as a tag team to form “The James
Gang” – one of the most
highly decorated tag teams in professional
wrestling history. Their first victims
were Konnan's new family collectively
known as The Latin American Exchange.
At
the 2006 “Sacrifice” Pay-Per-View,
The James Gang were able to defeat Brother
Ray and Devon with the help of a lead
pipe – a foreign object that was
used many years ago during the great
rivalry between these two teams. Both
teams now have a win against each other,
but the tie will break come Slammiversary.
Whatever name he competes as, Kip has
always been and always will be an International
Championship Wrestling mainstay. |
